Elementals

Elementals are pure fragments of elemental energy.
They are among the most valuable resources in War of Continents, required for nearly every upgrade and major advancement.

🔍 Finding Elementals​

Heroes can search for Elementals on special missions.
Each search is shaped by both the Land where the mission starts and the Hero who performs it.

The Land influences the search in two important ways:

  • Its native Element affects which Elemental type is most likely to be found.
  • Its rarity and terrain affect the base amount of Elementals that can be discovered.

A Land is more likely to reveal Elementals of its own native Element.
If the mission does not find the native Element, the remaining chance is shared between the other Elements.

After the Elemental type is selected, the Land defines the discovery range.
Higher-quality Lands can support larger search ranges, and elemental foundation progress can improve the result for the selected Element.

The Hero then determines how much of that opportunity becomes a real reward:

  • Luck helps the Hero roll better within the available search range.
  • Intelligence controls how many of the discovered Elementals the Hero can safely bring back.

However, Elementals are unstable by nature. Once found, they begin to leak away unless properly secured.

🧭 Search Fatigue​

Repeated Elemental Search missions exhaust the surrounding land for a while.
Each completed Elemental Search on the same Land during the last 24 hours increases that Land's Elemental Search fatigue.

Fatigue reduces the upper end of future search results for that Land.
It does not remove the mission's base discovery potential, but it makes repeated searches less likely to produce peak results.

For better long-term efficiency, spread searches across multiple Lands or give heavily searched Lands time to recover.

🌀 Leakage & Seals​

Without magical protection, Elementals will disappear quickly.
To hold them safely, your Lands must be equipped with Seals of Elements.

The higher the level of your Seals, the less Elemental energy is lost over time.
Managing this balance is one of the core challenges of the game.

⚒️ Purpose of Elementals​

Elementals are essential for:

  • Upgrading Towers of Elements → increasing Gold production.
  • Improving Elemental Vessels → increasing how many Elementals your Lands can store.
  • Future mechanics → many upcoming features of the game will also rely on Elementals.

🧠 Hero Skills & Elemental Missions​

The success of an Elemental Search mission depends heavily on a Hero’s abilities:

  • Resilience → influences how fast the mission is completed.
  • Luck → improves the roll inside the available search range.
  • Intelligence → increases the Hero's Elemental control limit, which caps how many discovered Elementals can be brought back.

Choosing the right Hero for Elemental missions can make a huge difference.

🚀 How to Start a Mission​

  • Click the Search Elementals button
  • Click Select Hero and choose the one you want
  • Pay attention to the mission time cost
  • Click Launch Mission
  • Your Hero will begin searching the Land for Elementals

⚖️ A Blessing and a Curse​

Elemental Search missions are both a blessing and a curse.
Without them, there are no Elementals — and without Elementals, there is no progress.
But repeated searches create fatigue, and controlling the Elementals you find requires the right Heroes.

Elementals are powerful but fleeting.
To master them, you will need to strengthen your Towers of Elements.
