War of Continents — Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What do I need to start playing War of Continents?
You need a crypto wallet such as MetaMask and a game account. The Frontier path can grant you the starting Land and Heroes needed to begin without buying NFTs first.
Do I need to buy NFTs to enter the game, or is there a test mode?
No. Frontier is the free start path for real gameplay. NFT Lands and NFT Heroes are still important for wallet ownership, trading, and long-term collecting, but they are not required for the first steps.
What are Platinum Coins (WOCPTC) and where can I buy them?
WOCPTC is the ERC-20 token used as the in-game currency for minting Lands, Heroes, and upgrades. You can purchase it on the WOC Launchpad.
How much Platinum do I need to start?
You can start through Frontier with 0 PTC. If you want NFT ownership, the current minting path uses Platinum: 70 PTC for a Land and 10 PTC for a Generation Zero Hero.
Do you have a free play mode?
Yes. Frontier grants a free in-game starting set: 1 Frontier Land and 2 Frontier Heroes after registration, plus one additional Frontier Hero at Profile Level 1 and another at Profile Level 2.
Do I have to own Land to play?
You need an active Land to play, but it does not have to be an NFT Land at the start. A Frontier Land lets you begin the core gameplay loop for free. NFT Lands are the transferable ownership path.
How do I get my first Hero for free with a Land?
There are two free Hero paths. Frontier grants 2 Heroes after registration and one more at Profile Levels 1 and 2. Separately, the NFT Land minting flow can grant the right to mint one Hero at zero cost from that Land.
Can I have multiple Heroes on one Land?
Yes. There is no strict limit on the number of Heroes per Land, but each Hero must be assigned a residence on a specific Land.
Can Heroes move between Lands?
Yes. Heroes can be transferred from one Land to another, but they must always have a residence assigned.
What is the difference between Heroes of various elements and rarities?
Heroes differ by element (Air, Fire, Water, Earth), which defines their role bonuses, and by rarity (Common → Legendary), which affects their strength, efficiency, and visual style.
How does Gold collection work and why is it important?
Gold is produced on Lands and collected by Heroes through missions. It is the primary resource for upgrading Towers, Vessels, Seals, and other structures.
What are the Elementals and why do they escape?
Elementals are essential magical creatures used for upgrades. Without Seals, they leak from Vessels quickly. Seals reduce this leakage and help you keep more Elementals.
What do Elemental Seals do and how are they upgraded?
Seals are magical items installed on your Land’s Elemental Vessels. They reduce the daily loss of Elementals and protect a small reserve from leakage. Higher-level Seals reduce leakage further and increase that protected reserve.
What are Elemental Towers and how do they affect progress?
Towers increase your Land’s Gold production. By upgrading Towers with Elementals and Gold, you improve your economy and long-term growth.
Which strategy is better: more Lands or more Heroes?
Both strategies work. More Lands means higher Gold production; more Heroes means faster missions. Many players balance both for efficiency.
How do Heroes and the profile gain experience?
Heroes and the player profile gain experience from missions and daily activities.
Are there daily rewards and how can I claim them?
Yes. Daily login rewards and mission completions provide bonuses. Make sure to check the Daily Rewards mission each day.
Can I sell my Lands or Heroes on the secondary market?
NFT Lands and NFT Heroes can be traded on marketplaces such as OpenSea. Frontier Lands and Frontier Heroes are non-NFT in-game grants, so they cannot be withdrawn, sold, or transferred.
