How to set up your Web3 wallet for War of Continents

War of Continents is built on Web3 technologies and uses the Arbitrum network ⚡ for all on-chain interactions.
To play the game, own Lands and Heroes, and manage WOC on-chain assets, you will need a Web3 wallet.
The recommended option is MetaMask, one of the most trusted and widely used wallets in the Ethereum ecosystem.

Supported Browsers 🌐​

MetaMask is available as a browser extension for:

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Brave Browser
  • Microsoft Edge

Mobile apps are also available for iOS and Android, though War of Continents is optimized for desktop play.

How to Install MetaMask 🧩​

  1. Visit the official MetaMask website:
    👉 https://metamask.io

  2. Click Download and select your browser.

  3. Install the extension from the official browser store.
    After installation, the MetaMask fox icon 🦊 will appear in your toolbar.

  4. Create your wallet:

    • Set a strong password
    • Save your Secret Recovery Phrase securely 🔐
      Never share this phrase with anyone.

  5. After setup, MetaMask will default to the Ethereum Mainnet.

Adding the Arbitrum Network ⚙️​

War of Continents operates on Arbitrum One, so you must add this network to MetaMask.

To add it manually:

  1. Open MetaMask and click the network dropdown.
  2. Choose Add network → Add a network manually.
  3. Enter the following values:

Network Name: Arbitrum One RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc Chain ID: 42161 Currency Symbol: ETH Block Explorer URL: https://arbiscan.io
