When a project uses its own digital currency and NFTs, trust should not rest solely on the words of its creator. Players need to understand where the funding comes from, under what rules Platinum is issued, how the proceeds are used, and how the developer earns personal income.

That is why I want to explain openly how the current financial model of War of Continents works, what its limitations are, and how it may develop in the future.

Real Game First. Crypto Ecosystem Second.

War of Continents is a game first and a crypto ecosystem second. Blockchain, tokens, and NFTs should help the game world grow, make transactions transparent, and allow players to own their assets—but they should never replace the gameplay itself.

For that reason, the project's financial decisions are judged first and foremost by whether they help create and sustain a complete game. Developing game mechanics, maintaining reliable infrastructure, and keeping players engaged matter more than short-term attention to token prices. Platinum and other blockchain tools exist to serve the game; the game does not exist to serve them.

How Project Funds and the Creator's Personal Income Are Separated

The War of Continents financial model has two fundamentally different money flows, and it is important not to mix them:

  1. Revenue from Platinum sales goes into the War of Continents project budget and is used to pay for servers, development tools, marketing, future liquidity, and other project needs.
  2. When an NFT is resold, the main payment goes from the buyer to the seller, while the applicable royalty is paid directly to the project's creator.

NFT sale royalties are the only planned source of personal income for the developer. WOCPTC revenue is not distributed to the creator as profit, and the creator is not granted free Platinum.

Platinum Is the Project's Main Source of Funding

Platinum, or WOCPTC, is the only mechanism currently intended to fund the War of Continents project budget directly. The project receives funds when Platinum is purchased through the Launchpad.

Transferring Platinum between wallets does not generate revenue for the project.

At the time of writing, several players have already made small Platinum purchases, and I would like to thank them personally. However, most of the Platinum purchased so far has been bought by me, the game's creator. As a result, most project expenses are still effectively covered by my personal funds.

I used to pay for servers, subscriptions, and other services directly from my bank account. Funding now passes through the project's shared system: I purchase Platinum with my own money, the USDT is received by the project, and those funds are then used to pay the necessary expenses.

The funding flow looks like this:

WOCPTC is purchased through the Launchpad

USDT is received at the project address

Infrastructure, development, and promotion are funded

Anyone who wishes to support the continued development of War of Continents can also do so by purchasing Platinum. However, the project does not promise buyers price appreciation, returns, or a guaranteed buyback.

What Is Platinum?

WOCPTC is an ERC-20 token.

Platinum contract address:

0xb4A9A3D883207eC378606384a6ccD0046E79398b

Platinum cannot be obtained from the project for free. Once purchased, its owner can keep it in a wallet, transfer it, or give it to another user.

Platinum is not deposited into a separate in-game balance. It remains in the player's blockchain wallet and is used when creating game NFTs.

There is no mechanism for depositing Platinum into or withdrawing it from the game, and none is planned. Instead, the game records the relevant actions directly on the blockchain.

Platinum is not generated through gameplay: it cannot be mined, earned in the game, or created by a player for later resale. New WOCPTC can be issued only by the project and only for the direct-sale and liquidity mechanisms described below.

Why Would a Player Buy Platinum?

Buying Platinum is not required to discover War of Continents. Playing with your own lands and heroes is much more convenient, but anyone can try the game entirely free of charge through the Frontier mechanic.

This allows players to explore the game world and its mechanics first, and then decide for themselves whether they need their own assets and the Platinum required to create them.

WOCPTC has a specific purpose in the game: Platinum is currently used to mint game lands and heroes. The WOCPTC spent during minting is burned, and the player receives 30 VIP points for every unit of Platinum burned, provided that the wallet was linked to the player's game account beforehand.

In the future, shards are planned to be sold for Platinum. Other game items may also become available for WOCPTC as War of Continents develops—the exact list will depend on how the game world evolves and which mechanics prove genuinely useful to players.

Platinum is therefore intended to be the universal—and currently the only—way to acquire game assets within the War of Continents ecosystem. WOCPTC is not transferred to an internal game balance: the relevant purchases and operations take place through the blockchain.

The same unit of WOCPTC cannot be used in the game and then resold. Once used for minting, it ceases to exist. Only Platinum that has not yet been spent and burned can be transferred or potentially sold in the future.

There are therefore three main reasons to buy Platinum:

  • it is needed to mint game lands and heroes and, in the future, to purchase shards and other game items;
  • using it grants VIP points;
  • purchasing it funds the continued development of War of Continents.

WOCPTC is not an instrument with a promised return. If someone's only goal is to resell Platinum at a higher price, guarantee the recovery of the money spent, or earn an investment return, they should not buy WOCPTC. The project's current model makes no such promises.

WOCPTC can currently be purchased through the Launchpad or received as a transfer from another owner. There is not yet an organized public market for selling it. A future liquidity pool is intended to provide that opportunity, but it has not yet been created, and its price will not be guaranteed to match the Launchpad price.

Why Is There No Stripe or Google Pay Option Yet?

Stripe and Google Pay could make the payment process more familiar to some users. However, they solve only the conventional payment part of the process and do not replace the blockchain mechanics of War of Continents.

The main purpose of Platinum is to use WOCPTC to mint game lands, heroes, and other NFTs. During minting, the Platinum is burned, the transaction is recorded on the blockchain, and the newly created NFT is delivered to the player's wallet. The user therefore still needs a blockchain address, and the project still needs an on-chain transaction.

Even if payment were made by bank card, the project would still need to transfer WOCPTC to the buyer's address afterward or perform the blockchain transaction on the buyer's behalf. This adds an intermediary layer: the payment must be linked to a wallet, failed transactions and refunds must be handled, and the entire mechanism must be kept secure. The blockchain does not disappear from the process.

At the current stage, purchasing through the Launchpad with USDT keeps the process consistent and verifiable on-chain. In the future, familiar payment methods could be considered as an additional entry point for new players if they can be implemented safely and transparently. They would supplement WOCPTC and its blockchain mechanics, not replace them.

How Early Contributors Were Rewarded

This subject is not directly related to the financing of War of Continents, but it is important for understanding the project's values and the origin of some game assets.

During the early stages, several people actively helped the game develop. They spent their time testing, finding bugs, and sharing advice and suggestions. Some contributors also helped with marketing, publications, and the creation of YouTube content about the project.

In recognition of their contributions, they received special WOCITEMS tokens using the ERC-1155 standard. These tokens allowed—and, if they have not yet been used, still allow—their holders to claim game lands or heroes.

WOCITEMS contract address:

0xeD698b1145B5003D6a2a90e42e60f46D2E28f801

It is important to emphasize that these early contributors did not receive Platinum. The project did not issue free WOCPTC to them or use Platinum as payment for their help.

Only a relatively small number of reward WOCITEMS were issued. Their issuance, transfers, and subsequent use can be traced through a blockchain explorer, keeping the origin of these assets public and verifiable.

This reflects an important principle of the project: the contributions of people who helped the game during its early stages deserve recognition. That recognition, however, should not create hidden Platinum issuance or undermine the rules governing its distribution.

What Happens to Platinum When an NFT Is Minted?

When a player uses WOCPTC to mint a game NFT, the Platinum spent is burned.

It does not return to the project, is not transferred to the creator, cannot be sold again, and is permanently removed from circulation.

The player uses WOCPTC to mint an NFT

The Platinum is burned

The circulating supply of WOCPTC decreases

The burn transaction is recorded on the blockchain and can be independently verified.

As a thank-you for using Platinum, the project awards the player VIP points: 30 VIP points for every 1 WOCPTC burned.

One important condition must be met: the NFT must be minted from an address that was already registered and linked to the player's game account at the time of minting.

If the address was not linked to an account beforehand, the game cannot correctly identify who should receive the VIP points.

VIP points are not new Platinum and do not return burned WOCPTC to circulation. They are a separate in-game reward linked to the player's account.

Under What Rules Is Platinum Issued?

Platinum must not be issued arbitrarily. Its issuance is intended only for public distribution and liquidity mechanisms.

There are currently two permitted reasons to issue WOCPTC.

Funding the Launchpad

The Launchpad is the platform for direct Platinum sales. WOCPTC issued for the Launchpad is intended for purchase by users.

Launchpad page: https://warofcontinents.online/launchpad/

The first Launchpad offers Platinum at an introductory discount. The discounted sale is still active at the time of publication, although this information may be outdated by the time you read this article. This is a condition of the project's initial development stage. The base price for subsequent direct offerings is:

1 WOCPTC = 1 USDT

The address of a particular Launchpad is not permanent. Once the amount of Platinum allocated to it has been fully sold, a new Launchpad with a new address may be created for the next offering.

The permanent points of reference are therefore the WOCPTC contract and the address where the project's sale proceeds accumulate.

Funding the Liquidity Pool

In the future, Platinum may also be issued to create and fund a public liquidity pool.

This issuance will have a specific purpose: to enable market exchange between WOCPTC and USDT.

Platinum issued for this purpose must be placed into the public liquidity mechanism rather than distributed to the creator or individual players.

WOCPTC might theoretically also be needed for an exchange listing in the future. However, this idea is not currently under serious consideration, and no decision has been made.

Where the Revenue Accumulates

USDT received from Platinum sales through the Launchpad accumulates at the project address:

0xFfEd284a4d11C63971eE2d1F1edDb3a20B67e767

Incoming transactions at this address make it possible to see the proceeds from direct WOCPTC sales. Subsequent movements of funds show direct payments and transfers made to cover project expenses.

The Launchpad address may change over time, but sale proceeds are sent to the project address shown above.

The blockchain makes it possible to verify independently:

  • the issuance of new WOCPTC;
  • transfers of Platinum to the Launchpad;
  • the burning of Platinum when NFTs are minted;
  • incoming USDT from WOCPTC sales;
  • subsequent movements of funds from the project address.

However, not every expense can be traced in full on the blockchain.

Some providers accept USDT, allowing the project to pay for their services directly from its address. Other services require a bank card. In those cases, USDT is transferred to a bank card account, and the service is then paid for using the card.

The transfer can be seen on the blockchain, but the subsequent bank transaction is not a public on-chain transaction.

How Funds Are Currently Used

At the current stage, funds are directed primarily toward the project's basic needs:

  • hosting and server infrastructure;
  • domain registration and renewals;
  • necessary subscriptions and development tools;
  • AI services;
  • keeping the project operational;
  • moderator services;
  • payments to influencers for publishing content about the project;
  • advertising on various platforms;
  • fees and other related expenses.

War of Continents currently operates on a limited budget. Expenses without which development or operation of the game would be impossible therefore take priority.

I approach paid advertising particularly cautiously: I begin with small placements and experiments so that I can assess the results before increasing the budget.

At this stage, there is no fixed percentage allocation of Platinum sale revenue among expense categories. Revenue is still limited, while expenses arise unevenly: some services are paid monthly, others annually or as needed. Funds are therefore directed toward the highest-priority current needs.

The absence of fixed percentages does not mean that there is a hidden allocation for the creator: WOCPTC revenue remains project funds, and no percentage is transferred automatically to the developer. Once sales and recurring expenses become sufficiently stable, more formal allocation rules may be established.

The Future Liquidity Pool

One of the next important steps should be the creation of a liquidity pool.

Platinum can currently be purchased through the Launchpad or from another holder by private agreement. However, the project does not yet have a continuously available public mechanism through which a holder can exchange WOCPTC for USDT.

The liquidity pool is intended to provide this option. It will contain two assets:

  • WOCPTC issued to provide liquidity;
  • USDT allocated from Platinum sale revenue.

Users will be able to purchase WOCPTC from the pool or sell their existing Platinum into it. The pool will therefore provide an alternative to direct sales through the Launchpad.

It is important to understand that the existence of liquidity does not mean a fixed price or a guaranteed buyback.

The price of WOCPTC in the pool will depend on the ratio between the assets, demand, supply, and the available depth of liquidity. It may be either higher or lower than the direct Launchpad price.

Slippage and significant price movements may also occur, especially while the pool remains small. The project does not guarantee that any amount of Platinum can be sold for 1 USDT at any time.

If the pool eventually becomes sufficiently large and stable, it could gradually replace the Launchpad as the primary way to acquire WOCPTC. Instead of creating new direct-sale platforms, the project could then direct resources toward developing liquidity.

The conditions for issuing and adding new WOCPTC to the pool must be clear to participants and announced in advance.

How Project Spending Will Change

The main financial principle of War of Continents is:

Spending should grow in step with sustainable, actual revenue—not in anticipation of possible future sales.

A one-time surge in demand should not justify taking on recurring expenses that the project may later be unable to sustain.

As sales grow, funds are planned to be allocated according to the following priorities:

  1. Stable operation of servers and core infrastructure.
  2. Payment for essential development tools.
  3. Creation and development of the liquidity pool.
  4. Building a financial reserve for the project.
  5. Increased spending on marketing and promotion.
  6. Hiring employees and contractors when the workload and sustainable revenue justify it.
  7. Additional programs for players and the community.

Marketing growth, team expansion, and other new commitments will happen only after the project's basic needs can be funded sustainably.

Cash Prizes for Players

In the future, I would like to allocate part of the project's funds to cash prizes for players. This could provide another way to reward activity, achievements, tournaments, and contributions to the game community.

For now, this is an idea—not a current promise.

A prize fund can be created only once the project's infrastructure, development, reserves, and liquidity are all sustainably funded. Before such a program is launched, the following will need to be defined in advance:

  • the source of the prize fund;
  • eligibility requirements;
  • the criteria for determining winners;
  • rules for administrators and related accounts;
  • protections against multi-accounting and other forms of manipulation;
  • legal and tax restrictions.

The rules must be published before the relevant event begins and must be the same for every participant.

Principles of the Financial Model

The financial model of War of Continents is based on the following rules:

  • the project budget is kept separate from the creator's personal income;
  • WOCPTC is issued only for public sale or to provide liquidity and is not distributed at personal discretion;
  • early contributors were rewarded with a limited number of WOCITEMS rather than free Platinum;
  • token issuance, transfers, and burns can be verified on the blockchain;
  • significant rule changes must be announced in advance and must not be applied retroactively;
  • the project does not promise price appreciation, returns, a fixed market price, or a WOCPTC buyback;
  • recurring expenses increase only as sustainable revenue grows.

Long-Term Sustainability Over Hype.

War of Continents follows the principle of long-term sustainability rather than short-lived hype. The project does not plan to create mechanisms designed to manufacture excitement, encourage unjustified expectations, or drive speculative activity.

My goal is instead to create a world that can evolve steadily over a long period of time. War of Continents should become an intellectual hobby that players enjoy returning to regularly: a place where they can follow the world's changes, make strategic decisions, develop their holdings, and discover new challenges.

That is why the project's financial model should support the game's gradual development rather than depend on noise around tokens or short-term price movements.

WOCPTC buyers should evaluate Platinum based on its current purpose in the game and take its existing limitations into account, rather than relying on expectations of a quick resale or guaranteed profit.

I do not want to ask players to trust the project simply because its creator says the right things. Trust should be based on a clear separation of money flows, equal rules for everyone, and transactions that anyone can independently verify on the blockchain.

That is the system I intend to build around War of Continents, one step at a time.
