Civilization Center & Land Placement

Before you can open the World Map, your Profile must establish a Civilization Center. This is your civilization's geographic anchor on the continent.

Establish your center

  1. Open Map.
  2. Choose one of six sectors. They run clockwise from the upper-right as A, B, C, D, E, F.
  3. Choose a population preference:
    • Closer to civilizations;
    • Balanced;
    • Farther from civilizations.
  4. Confirm the choice.

Alam chooses the exact coordinate. The setup screen does not preview the map or offer a coordinate reroll.

After the request is accepted, the game opens Messages. When processing finishes, Alam sends a personalized welcome to Epoch 2. The letter shows the Civilization Center coordinates and links to the World Map, whose default view shows your Lands. Successful establishment places every active Land you currently control that is not already on the map. Existing placed Lands keep their positions. Lands are processed in random order. For each one, Alam selects randomly among the available playable cells in the nearest area with free space, expanding the search outward only when necessary.

Each Land occupies one complete cell, so a cell that already contains a Land cannot receive another one. The player does not preview, choose, or reroll the exact Land coordinates.

If establishment fails, no partial center or batch of new Land positions is kept. Return to Map and try again.

Useful distinctions

Minting creates an NFT Land and its persistent asset traits. Depositing makes an eligible NFT Land active under your Profile. Map placement is a separate in-game geographic action governed by your Civilization Center.

See World Map for the Local, Medium, and Whole Map views that become available after establishment.
